I cannot save on Fallout3 (PS3), what should I do?
Sep 14th
Question by Cory: I cannot save on Fallout3 (PS3), what should I do?
I’ve been playing Fallout3 for the PS3 for about 52 Hours (game time) and I am level 15. I last saved my game at my house then wanted to go to visit family with my PS3. When I got there to play Fallout 3 again I was able to load my data but wasn’t able to Save my game nor the game wouldn’t Auto-Save for me either. I can load ANY other saved data and save others as well but just not my main character. I’ve even created a separate User Profile for the PS3 and copied the saved data to it, still wouldn’t work. Couldn’t anybody give me some advice? I expect to see responses such as:
“Did you create backups for your saved data?”
“Might as well start over.”
“Tough luck, load another account.”
etc….
Please give the best answer you can and if you don’t to inform me if there are ANY known save glitches for the PS3 version of Fallout3?
Thank you very much.
Forgot to add….
I have 80gb PS3 and have around 50gb left so I’m not out of space, no worries. XD

Of course! All you need to do is get a usb stick, plug it into the side of your PS3, and select the game data from the menu screen, press triangle and choose “Copy.” Then select your usb as your copy destination, unplug your usb, plug it into your friends usb, and then paste the save data from your usb to your friends PS3.

Ok this new ps3 you are getting, is it an upgrade, as in more memory?
If you arent getting a better HDD, then you could just trade you’re Old HDD for the new one.
If the new ps3 has a better memory capability then you can use an external drive such as a usb flash drive and go to saved data utility and copy the data from there to the flash drive.
This website has a guide which you could use for both methods.

On the MW2 question. If you are meaning your offline stuff then this can be copied via the method above. If you are meaning the online stuff, then you dont need to copy it, as it is saved with your online profile. All you need to do is log back into the PSN on your new ps3 with your old username and password and this will load all your online stuff.
Hope this helps.

How To Copy Your Video Games – Learn How You Can Save The Originals

How To Copy Your Video Games – Learn How You Can Save The Originals
With how expensive video games have gotten in the past years it has left people wondering how they can burn their games or make copies. And this process can be succeeded for any Xbox 360, PS3 or Wii game. All you need to do is get the right software and right DVD backup disc.
The reason why many people copy or make backups of their video games is to help protect them from scratches and allow their console to run at a low heat. We all know that the longer we play our games for the hotter our game console will get. And that is something you do not want to have happen. Once the console surpasses a certain heat it has the chances of burning the key components inside itself. And that is one of the main reasons why many Xbox 360 console owners have dealt with that 3 rings of death. Once the console gets so hot from loading the game for hours it will actually start melting parts inside which causes them to come apart. And this can become very expensive if you wish to fix or replace your console.
So if you want to help protect your investment in your video games and console then you need to begin copying your games. This can be helpful to keep the original in great condition if you wish to trade it in later or sell it. Because we all know that the games in best condition always get the better trade in value.
So stop losing money in your games and start gaining a little by copying or making backups at home.
Don’t risk losing your original disk to damage again. Back up your games today before it’s too late.
PS3 is not reading game save files?
Aug 22nd
Question by jlwc8908: PS3 is not reading game save files?
I’ve literally tried everything I could possibly find, I’ve tried it all and still no results. I’ve put the files in this order on my flash drive
PS3>SAVEDATA>Game Save Folder
and I’ve tried
PS3>EXPORT>Game save folder
I’ve tried taking it out of the folder, I’ve tried adding an extra folder, I’ve tried multiple copies of folders, nothing seems to work to get my PS3 to read my backup game save files…
To test it I downloaded a FFXII save from Gamefaqs and converted it into a .psu file and put in the EXPORT folder and what not, still comes up saying there’s nothing there to be read.
It can obviously read the flash drive and folders seeing as I made it show all data in the video tab and I could plainly see all the folders
I’ve run outa ideas and I’ve done all I can do from what I’ve seen in other people’s forums and questions…I just have no clue what my PS3 wants from me =/

Save Money and Time by Learning How to Burn PS2 Games
Have you ever thought about how to burn PS2 games so you could make backup copies of all of yours? Our advanced electronic technologies have provided us with exciting high-tech video game consoles on which we can play games stored on CDs and DVD disks. If you have a PS2 game copying software, you can start copying your PS2 game disks right away.
PS3 game disks deteriorate over periods of prolonged use. It’s not that you’re doing anything wrong; it’s just that the DVD media deteriorates a little each time the disk is played or handled. The more you play and handle the disk, the greater the risk of damage. This means that your favorite games are going to be the first to stop working.
The safest way to protect your valuable PS2 games is to learn how to burn PS2 games and make backup copies of your entire collection. When you do this, should your original game get damaged, you’ll be able to play the backup game. The better idea, of course, is to store the original game and use the backup copy for routine play. If you damage the copy, you’ll know how to burn a PS2 game copy, and can always make another backup. This is excellent game insurance!
The standard copying software that probably came with your computer works well when copying music or video CD or DVDs, but they won’t copy the PS2 game disks because of their embedded copy protection code. You need special software to burn software for PS2.
Many gamers have moved on to newer game systems like Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but there continues to be great demand for PS2 games. The developers of good game copying software recognize the continued popularity of PS2 games, and have included the ability to burn PS2 games in their game copying software application. There is a gigantic library of Playstation 2 games out in the marketplace. You can save a bundle by burning your own Playstation 2 games.
If you’re asking, “Can you burn PS2 games legally?” the answer is yes. Making backup copies of games that you legally own is legal if it is done to protect your gaming investment from loss or damage. If you buy a new and expensive PS2 game, and wish to make a backup copy when you get home, save the original game, and use the backup for daily play-you can do so legally. What is not legal, however, is copying your games to sell to someone else. That, my friend, could be a felony. Don’t do it.
It’s legally similar to the situation with the Playstation 2 emulators. Owning an emulator is not illegal, but using counterfeit game copies could land you in the clink. Keep this in mind when you make backup copies. Make sure you’re doing it for all the right reasons.
Actually knowing how to burn PS2 games is a snap for anyone that can follow directions. First and foremost, to play copied games on your Playstation 2 system, you’ll need to physically modify the consoles motherboard by soldering in a modification (mod) chip. These are sometimes available through local dealers, if not; they are always available from Internet suppliers. Different games use different chips. Ask the dealer’s advice to make sure that you are getting the right part. Remember that modifying your Playstation 2 system will undoubtedly void your system warranty. Be sure before you make the modifications. If you decide to do so, unless you are an expert computer repair person, find a professional to make the necessary modifications. Once the PS2 system is modified, it’s a snap to burn Playstation 2 games, following the steps given below.
1. Download and install a program called DVD Decrypter to your PC.
2. Ensure that you have a working CD/DVD burning program on your computer that is compatible with your games. Some PS2 games will require you to have a dual-layer DVD burner and dual-layer DVD blanks.
3. Open the DVD Decrypter.
4. Go to Mode -> ISO -> READ with the game disc inserted.
5. The software will create an ISO file.
6. Go to Mode -> ISO -> WRITE.
7. Select the previously created ISO file.
8. Follow the onscreen directions to burn the blank DVD.
That’s it. You’re done. You are now an expert at burning PS2 game disks. Now that you are expert at how to burn PS2 games, you can backup your entire PS2 games collection.

Copy Playstation Games to Save Time and Money

Copy Playstation Games to Save Time and Money
If you’re a PS2 or PS3 gamer that has had to go out and buy a new game to replace one that had been lost or stolen, you’ve learned the hard way that it would have been cheaper to backup those games for your protection. You need to know how to copy Playstation games. You should know that there is software out there designed specifically for the purpose of backing up video games. Why spend money for replacements, when you can so easily copy Playstation games to make backups? The question is, “How to copy Playstation games?”
Have you ever tried to make copies of video games from any of the major manufacturers: Xbox, Wii, or PlayStation? If you have tried using the software that you traditionally use to copy music or video CDs, you were undoubtedly disappointed. Those traditional software applications are not designed to bypass the copy protection schemes that are integrated into most game programs. Obviously, these game manufacturers don’t profit from any copies that are made of their games. They are in the business of sales, and take whatever steps are necessary to prevent piracy, but in doing so they have also made it difficult for you to copy Playstation games to protect your entertainment investment. It’s perfectly legal to copy a Playstation game for your personal use, provided you own the game that you are copying.
This copy protection policy doesn’t seem fair to most gamers. If game disks came with insurance for loss or damage, it would be a different story, but that’s not the case. These games, while they may be sophisticated computer programs, are stored on a simple round disk that can scratch, be lost, or be stolen. Without any backup disks, the gamer absorbs all the risk of replacing the games at full cost. Fortunately, some clever software developers recognized this problem and created software applications that can bypass the manufacturers’ copy protection and enable gamers to copy Playstation games and make excellent backup copies. One of these software applications is held in high regard by most gamers. It’s called Game Copy Wizard.
The Game Copy Wizard application makes it extremely easy to copy a Playstation game. By following its onscreen instructions you’ll create copies of your PS2 and PS3 games that are exactly like the original games as they came from the manufacturer. All it involves is exchanging the original game disk with a blank DVD, and clicking a few onscreen commands to create these high quality backups. When you make backups of this quality, it’s wise to use the backups for routine game playing, and to store away the original games for safekeeping. If you damage or lose a backup game, you can always make another from the stored original.
You can do much more than copy Playstation games using the Game Copy Wizard application. You can also make excellent copies of Wii, Xbox, Xbox 360, Gamecube games, Dreamcast games, and PC games, as well and music and video disks. The best news for gamers is the Game Copy Wizard’s reasonable cost. It will pay for itself the first time that you lose or damage a game, and have the backup disk to rely upon. Try it. Knowing how to copy Playstation games will let you rest easily at night knowing your gaming investment is protected.
Do you want to backup your favorite Video games? Do you wish you could copy those games or play the backup games instead of the original? Have you ever been bothered that you cannot copy or backup Xbox 360, Ps2, PS3 or Wii games? From now on you can copy your original discs and play the backed up games you have made with Game Copy wizard. Click the Game Copy wizard Review for more…
