i have been looking for days to find software to copy my ps3 games so i dont need a mod chip. i can only find sites that are selling it. does someone know of a programme that is completely free? there has to be one out there somewhere

Not only can you not currently mod a PS3 (so a “mod chip” wouldn’t help you anyway), but you also can not copy PS3 games.
While Sony may be behind Micro$oft when it comes to online, keeping their PS3 software from being copied or modded to play illegal software is high on their priority list.
So to answer your question… You can not buy a mod chip (anyone who sells you one took you for a fool), and you can not copy PS3 games to play on a PS3(or burn them, and anyone who sells you software to copy PS3 games has taken you for a fool as well).
In order to play PS3 games, you will need to buy it. If you don’t want to buy it, then you will need to switch to the 360, which games can be burned and the console can be chipped.

I back up my saves on a USB flash drive, then have a copy on my PC and keep a copy on the flash drive as well. I also try to back up the saves every week.
You don’t need a copy of games that you’ve downloaded as you can delete them and download them as many times as you like as long as you sign in with the details that you bought the content on.
So if your PS3 is broken and you get a new one, you can just enter your PSN log in details on the new PS3 and download anything you’ve previously paid for and re-download it without having to pay again.

You will NOT be able to copy PS3 games. They are made with bluray discs, so unless you get some hightech disc burner, there is no way for you to copy them.
Also, downloading windows 7 is illegal, don’t be a pirate.
